A brownish natural colored leather strap could definitely work.
Something subtle and has the "I'm a pretty laid back guy" look.
Please if you could find something like that it would be awesome!

A lot of the kids here used to wear strings with beads or dice lined up on them.
You could easily make such a thing yourself, could customize it any way you want and it would be the closest approximation of a non-metallic, non-aggressive-looking wallet chain.
Just get a piece of string, two carbine hooks, a bunch of colored wood beads and/or a couple of dice and a drill.
Back in the 90s, there where people running around with those big, clunky, red and white plastic chains you sometimes see on construction sites, but i'd thoroughly advise against this, as it lokks fuck-ugly. If this doesn't bother you, you could probably find them at the next hardware store.

Never fucking understood the purpose of purses. If you need to carry more things than can fit in your pockets, then you're trying way too hard. I understand that they're the product of fashion and what not, and that they've been standard for a very long time.

But when you are able to fit half of an apartment's worth of shit plus a small canine into a bag the size of a middle-aged man's beer gut, you really need to reconsider what you really need when out and about.

Hell, I feel over burdened when I carry keys, wallet, cell phone, cigarettes, lighter, pen, comb, and sunglasses.

my point is, it can be done, but you need to be careful. I can pull it off becuase of the band. Some can pull it off because of there style, but it is hard to do.

I'd say it's only acceptable if you're in a band of that style, and you wear it for shows.
