The kava at health food stores is crap quality. You can try it, but it's low potency and sometimes contains toxic parts of the kava plant. Good kava is only roots, and comes from potent plants; health food store kava can be the whole chopped up plant, and like I mentioned, this includes the parts that natives who use this plant do NOT use in their traditional preparations. And they often come from weak-ass kava plants.

All of them are anticholinergics, which are not really too much fun. Except for amitriptyline, which only has some anticholinergic action but more importantly is basically also not fun. Sorry about that.

Yes, inhalation of CO2 can get you kinda high, but not in a good way. It's same as kinda high as holding your breath in for a minute or two. Try it on for size.
