Alright /nra/ (almost called you kommandos)This one's not a caliber thread (although it might turn into one),it's a method of action question - I'm willing to put the lever gun up against all comers - for fun, plinking, hunting, self defense, style - whatever metric is reasonable for someone who doesn't have to worry about covering fire (see: suburban north american). In .357, .30-30, .44, .45 and .454, it honestly doesn't matter - I think the lever gun far surpasses most other rifles in flexibility and versatility. Attempt to prove me wrong or acquiesce to the inexorable logic of the lever. Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.

I went to the Texas Renaissance Fair this weekend and happened across a place called Angel Swords and WOW did my brain melt! These things are true works of art. Without a doubt the closest thing to a Hattori Hanzo sword in real life! The master sword smith is one of only 9 people in the world to figure out how to create wootz damascus. This is a form of forging thought to be long dead. This isn't just sales pitch garbage either, it was all demonstrated to me. You know the grain pattern you see in a high quality katana? Well the pattern I saw on this knife was about 3 times as dense. Oh and did I mention that they use the same grade of steel found on the armor of an Abrams tank? The man there took this $3000 katana and bent it to a half circle on the pillar next to him (something that would snap most swords), and when he pulled it out TA-DAH!, went right back to true shape with no evidence on the tip or anywhere. I held that sword and it's so light and agile it's scary! They regularly cut through 12 tatami mats with their swords. That's like standing 12 men end to end and cutting all their heads off with one stroke! It was beautiful man. Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.

I used to gun-twirl. I taught myself on an 1877 Colt Lightning revolver. Sadly, it was stolen from me (it once belonged to my great grandfather, double disappoint). I want to gun twirl again, but I would like to with a gun that is similar. That's proven to be very hard since the Lightning had a uniquely shaped grip that went with the natural contour of your palm. I haven't seen any other revolvers like it. It's that particular feature that I like about it because it's easier to spin in your hand, plus I also like how it was forward weighted just enough to give it some nice momentum when spun. What do? I will even settle of a non-firing or blank-firing replica. Mine was like the one pictured except for the fancy etching and pearl grip.
>" It was stolen and you did not reclaim you and your family's honor? Go die."Believe me, I raised hell about it! I wouldn't let anyone leave the bar until I was certain none of them had it. Whoever took it was long gone, and I couldn't report it because I was drinking and carrying a firearm (albeit a non-working one) at age 20. It was my own stupid fault for having it with me anyway.

>"Why couldn't you take it to the bathroom?"I had already tried. I couldn't piss without un-doing where the gun was holstered. There was no place close to set it in the bathroom. I didn't want it stolen from me while I was immobile and relieving myself on the other side of the bathroom... It still saddens me to think about what might have happened to it.

Hello /nra/You have about $400 to buy any commonly available gun at a gun store (no crazy shit you need a permit for). This gun will be used not only for your protection, but you may need to hunt if food supplies are extinguished. Keep in mind that ammo is not infinite- the more common the ammo, the better chance of getting more. This is your apocalypse gun. Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.

An AK-47 walks into a bar and see's an M16 and a Desert Eagle being all popular. Everyone laughs when AK-47 walks in, because everyone knows about him and his inaccuracy. He challenges M16 and Desert Eagle to a shootout. They each put a glass on a table. They would each shoot at the cup from 100 feet away to see who was the best gun. The AK-47 shot it's entire magazine but never hit the glass. The M16 began shooting it's entire magazine, but before he took all of his shots, his gun jammed and he was unable to finish. The Desert Eagle only shot one bullet before jamming. In the end they realized it's not how accurate your gun is, but how many bullets you can spray at your target. AK-47 is the winrar

Owning both the civilian version of the AK47 and an AR15, I can personally attest that both guns operate remarkably under proper circumstances. Keep them clean, use the proper ammunition, and don't modify the internals in any way and both guns will shoot thousands of rounds without a common jam up. Both are remarkably accurate to well over 100 yards, which is more than enough for game.
>>4025The AR15 is more accurate when compared to the fully automatic AK47.

A gotta questionWould this be Cali Legal?Because the Ban Was on Pistol Grips because they would be considered Assault Weapons.
That looks ridiculous! Why would you even want your AR to look like that? It is probably not considered pistol grip, that is, if the regular AR stock isn't banned. My advice:Get a normal stock, unless you want to be laughed at

That is called a U-15 stock and it's only users are California residents who want to legally shoot an AR-15 using pre-ban "high capacity" magazines. Two other options are the "MonsterMan grip" and "Solar Tactical grip wrap"The vast majority of AR-15's in California look cosmetically identical to every other state's. Pic related. You have to fix your 10 magazine with a "bullet button" or "Raddlock" magazine lock. Then you can have all the pistol grips and flash hiders you want.
