The room 213/dog-suit scene is lifted from King's novel, one of the few such instances of background detail (thankfully); all that's missing is the party tinsel. Good theory though. ahhh Hero. I completely forgot about that one. the fights were very good, but I still prefer the rawness between Ziyi Zhang and Michelle Yeoh's scene.

just because of the way it was choreographed, the fight at the end of that movie tells a story - how far Ziyi got with the green destiny and thus ultimately leading her to betray one of the only friends she has left, and the intensity michelle shows in the scene by dishing out every weapon she can against the Green Destiny, it's just a beautiful example of how fight scenes should be made. Hero was great, but kinda too flashy for my taste. Fearless imo, was better.

Barry Lyndon. Scene in the barn I mean, though I just now remember the throttling in the ballroom. Both are brilliant.

Randy Marsh is a hilarious goldmine, and the recent episodes starring him are a riot IMO. The tiger woods episode just sucked, I didnt laugh once and the whole joke was done after about two minutes. That said, there are still recent episodes (I call season 8+ recent) that are some of the best since the show started.

The only good episode after season 8 was major boobage

so am i the only one who is no longer saddened by this episode, knowing that an alternate version of fry was actually taking care of him the whole time, and the time lapse sequence just left those parts out? seriously, that's the only reason i like the movie. i have no problem with going back and changing things like that as long as they're changed to not be so depressing.

i like it for a lot of reasons, but it's had some pretty touching (especially for a cartoon) episodes. the ending montage in the episode that showed how Leela's parents were actually watching over her for her entire life made me tear up a lot more than fry's dog.

Undoubtedly. They had an army of skilled engineers slaving over this, and it shows. There's not much in the way of artistry or naturalism though, or imagination. I'll admit the final quarter climax is possibly the best thing Cameron has ever done.
