OP, could you get an impression into the wood turning it into the top of some kind of strong edge or plant something into the dirt to force the wood upon? This sounds really unfeasible, but it might give you some perspective on alt ways of getting the job done. Forcing something into the wood doesn't sound very effective if you need a 4 inch hole.

I don't really know you that well OP, but I will say investing in the web/internet is probably a very good idea. If you're a creative person and you enjoy technology, it's not hard to learn how to develop a website within a couple of weeks. If you're smart enough, who's to say you couldn't create a website earning you a living within a few months?

An example of this on a much larger scale would be sites like Facebook, Digg, Reddit... these sites dish out millions of pageviews a day. Even getting 10k pageviews daily can return some serious money, and if you're willing to invest your own money into it you can return your profits even quicker.

I too have an interest in this. If i remember correctly, there are some mini jobs on Amazon that pay like 50 cents a job.

there is no real money to be made on the internet. Believe me, I worked 6 months in a small SEO company where the boss tried many different things.
Overall the only way to make any money was the actual SEO part BUT you need to know how to do it, you need to find customers willing to pay you enough (the hardest part) and you need to deal with the fact that you'll probably be working your ass off for very little money
And customers are a bitch - even if you get them, they'll be constantly unhappy because you can't GUARANTEE the first place in google without a team of people working for you and that's what they expect you to offer them.

All in all - get a regular job and you'll work less and earn more money. All the surveys, clicking ads, affiliate marketing, google ads on your blog, etc. ideas are bullshit and people who say they make a lot this way are just lying and probably trying to sell you something. The only way to make real money is to have a great idea for a website, market it and get VERY lucky. And no, making another digg.com clone or another insightful blog about whatever is not a great idea.

Get some ale or champagne yeast, and mix it with a glass of warm water, 35 to 42 degrees Celsius, warmer will kill it, colder will slow the jumpstart.
Mix honey with water, 1 part honey for 5 parts water. You can add some mashed apples or bits of cinnamon for flavour.
Mix yeast water with honey water, and set it in a warm place for a while.
If you want really bubbly stuff, then cap it after 6 or so days, and store it in the fridge. Otherwise, leave it uncapped until it's done fermenting, then cap it to prevent it from turning to vinegar. It'll be good to drink after a week, but it'll taste better after 2. Dont let it hang around for more than a month or it'll go to shit.

don't try if WPA or WPA2. dictionary attacks and rainbow tables aren't too effective. what you are looking for is WEP.

Get backtrack and set up the liveCD/USB ( USB is better and faster imo )

Save http://www.aircrack-ng.org/doku.php?id=tutorial and the basic commands emptrying the parts where MAC ADDRESS, SSID etc. are needed, so you know what to type where.

Boot up, follow the steps, and wait a day or two to get enough packets ( him watching porn would suffice, or if he's downloading something ).
