Welcome to /crops/. If you grow anything, discuss it here. This includes but is not limited to:
Shrooms
Marijuana
Salvia
Cacti (San Pedro, Peruvian Torch, etc.)
Tobacco (If you're that much of a hard ass.)

I don't claim to know everything about growing, in fact, I'm a huge nube when it comes to growing. But I'm tired of seeing threads that could be answered with a sticky. So here we go.

so i started using nutes today on the plants that have been turning a little yellow. i read on here that's a nitrogen deficiency so I'm hoping the nutes will fix that. They're about a month old, is that mature enough to start using nutes? they have like 4 nodes.

i dun think so. i've only watered them with nutes once so if thats the case i'll just stop. its just so hard to find the right answer of when to start, different people say different shit. but i'll remember to take it easy on the nutes. pic is a few weeks old

alright /crops/...i'm seriously considering a baby growop in a closet in my apartment. i'm thinking i'll pick up some feminized PPP or a 10pk of white widow and ultimately grow two plants. how much should i expect at harvest per plant if i don't completely fail?

Not >>863 but yes sativas do tend to get large and have lower yields than indicas though some are some suited for indoor grow but i'll let you do the research on which strains work for that. Also, indica is more forgiving and easier to grow. Do an indica first.

>> No.958

white widow is so smelly that I don't really recommend it for an apartment unfortunately

Yes some sativas are bad but PPP have large yields and is fast.

hi /crops/
I was thinking about growing indoors, but how much will each plant yield? I have to convince my dumbfuck roommate to let me grow in the basement.

I've been growing aeroponically (Aeroponic/DWC I guess) ScrOG blueberry and I harvest about 1-1.5 pounds for my 6 plants. Keep in mind I control every variable to a tee, half light movers, CO2 generator, easily over 2 grand in growing equipment.

harvesting a pound+ per plant isn't unheard of at all

Is there a way that you can set up a plant to grow short, as in bushy, not all tall and shit.
Because I've been pruning to keep it's size less than 12 inches, but it's still growing upward!

Can I do this? Or is it impossible?

If you top it when it's young and keep trimming it, it will be very small. Most plants double in size from the end of vegging to the end of flower, though.

hai /crops/ got directed from /weed/. I was wondering what tips there are in regards to pruning? Let's say the plant is about 60 cm tall with 5 levels of branches. Each of these levels has four branches coming off, and each of these branches has about three full sets of leaves (that is the seven points but some have nine). It's still growing and its about 3 or so months old but its outside in a considerably hot climate. Soil has several fertilizers in it and it gets watered every day. What can you recommend in regards to pruning plz? also how long would it be to see bud?

>> No.915

i didn't see the plant was outdoors.. you won't get mold.

with outdoor plants you have to let the sunlight tell the plant when to go to bud, you can't change the grow/bud cycle without controlling the light cycle. but the fertilizer thing still applies. lots more water with the extra fertilizer, or you'll burn your plants.

>> No.945

Well it could have a chicken wire 'cage' surrounding it, meaning I could drape a towel over it and hence change the light cycles but im not sure if I have the discipline or time to make it a 12/12...

>>the plant was outdoors.. you won't get mold.

wow. You're either pretty dumb or just talking shit. LOADS of mold outside. Where do you think it comes from anyway?

Yes, you probably won't get mold. But it does happen. Bud rot happens all the time outdoors. Prevention is always better than cure so doing small things like trimming a few branches off that are close to the ground in a very very good idea.
