I wanna learn to be a blacksmith. Only thing is that I dunno where to even begin to look for this type of trade. Are there Trade Schools for this type of work, or is it an apprenticeship first type of career or wut. Halp ):

I saw this show on Australian television (SBS) about this guy who taught himself to make high quality knives and he took on apprentices, thats all i can tell you.

>> No.5592

A guy i went to highschool with was a blacksmith. He got into those sword fighting clubs where people dress in full armor and shit, apparently there is a blacksmith society and he was able to apprentice with one of the top guys ... thats all i really know other than the dude has a forge in his backyard.

I'm not sure where on 420chan to post this. I have this entire old comic book. Want to see some of what's inside?

Well they are. I mean it's not guro or something, but it's not meant to be serious at all.

Hey, been meaning to post here.

These are a couple things I did back in High School. Not 100% satisfied with how they turned out, but their some of my better portfolio work.

fucking awsome man! love ur art!

>> No.5596

dude these are really cool, are you going to art school or some crazzzzzzzzzzzzziness?

>> No.5598

>>5596
Nope, I wasn't privileged enough to go to an art school. Those things are fucking expensive and generally seem like a waste to me. I do some part-time at the local community college. I don't take any art classes there (seeing if I can't major in film), but I have looked into some illustration classes.

Art-wise, I learn a lot more (a lot cheaper) just by practicing and experimenting on my own. One of my main reasons for lurking the *Chans is to examine unique and professional artwork.

i wouldt know sorry :(

but im going to the local photoclub in 2 day's. got told that i could borrow awsome cams there

>> No.5567

That must be one fucking hell of a disposable camera. The exposure is always exactly right, and there seems to be some filtering too.

>> No.5573

Yes it seems your camera settings are decent, maybe work on making your compositions more interesting? Id suggest having a clear subject / focal point rather than just distant landscapes. Use that for background against something cool up close. Some landscape shots work well though, i particularly like >>5558
What you have looks promising. good luck
